General Substitute Part-Time

Seattle Academy is seeking part-time substitutes to support our team throughout the 24/25 school year. You will play a critical role in maintaining a continuum of academic excellence while stepping into various classroom settings to ensure that high-quality instruction continues in the absence of the regular teacher.
This position demands flexibility, enthusiasm, and a profound commitment to our students’ educational advancement.
Key characteristics for the person in this position include:
- Deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences, established by the permanent teacher;
- Knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm for working with middle & upper school-aged students;
- A willingness to incorporate social-emotional learning competencies (social awareness, relationship skills, self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision making) and project-based learning into the subject matter;
- Strong organizational and communication abilities;
- Ability to work effectively with all constituent groups - teachers, parents, students, and administrative teams;
- Experience with addressing student behavior
- Creative and imaginative problem-solver.
How to Apply:
