At Seattle Academy, our culture, curriculum, and community are grounded in four culture principles: Build Connection, Expand Access, Foster Agility, and Pursue Excellence. These principles shape how we teach, learn, and connect—with each other and with the world.
We believe that each student’s journey is unique. By anchoring our work in these principles, we create an environment where every student is supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow.
Build Connection
We believe relationships precede performance. Guided by the SAAS mantra Know the Kid, we teach from a foundation of mutual respect, grow together through challenges, and center learning in trust.
Expand Access
We understand that meaningful opportunity demands action and persistence, and must be grounded in a deep regard for others. We teach our students to become catalysts for hope and to extend their impact into the wider community.
Foster Agility
We equip the leaders of tomorrow with an entrepreneurial mindset rooted in the power to create. We teach the integration of skills and knowledge in moments of action, instill the courage to take risks, and adapt with confidence.
Pursue Excellence
We honor a broad definition of human ability and anchor achievement in purpose. We teach each other to reach beyond limits, become better versions of ourselves, and celebrate individual and shared success.
