Biography: Alisha Agard '11, was born and raised in South Seattle as a daughter of two West-Indian immigrants. She joined the Seattle Academy community in the Fall of 2020 as a History teacher and Grade-Level Coordinator until moving into the role of Dean of Students for 9th and 10th grade in 2022. Before teaching, Alisha had spent her previous years supporting local and statewide electoral and community organizing campaigns in Washington State. Her passion for youth leadership development brings Alisha to the classroom as she balances the Dean role with her course, ‘Journey of the Diaspora: Black History and Abroad.’ In her free time, Alisha enjoys listening to music, painting, and spending time with her family.
