Biography: Alisha Agard ’11 was born and raised in South Seattle as the daughter of two West Indian immigrants. She joined the Seattle Academy community in fall 2020 as a History teacher and Grade-Level Coordinator. In 2022, she transitioned into the role of Dean of Students before returning to full-time teaching in 2025. Before entering education, Alisha supported local and statewide electoral and community organizing campaigns throughout Washington. Her passion for youth leadership development drew her to the History Department, where she combines her love of teaching with helping students better understand the world around them. In her free time, Alisha enjoys listening to music, painting, and spending time with her family.
