Biography: Amanda is originally from Lexington, OH. Before joining SAAS, she gained teaching experience in Ecuador, China, and at an all-girls school in Princeton, NJ. Amanda has worked as both a Drama and ELL teacher and now brings her diverse skill set to the Rhetoric classroom in the Middle and Upper School. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre with a minor in Creative Writing and a Master’s degree in Children's Literature. Amanda is dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming environment where every student can develop their unique voice. Outside the classroom, she enjoys curling up with a good book, hiking mountain trails, or playing her guitar.
