Biography: Krystal joined Seattle Academy as a middle school English teacher in 2020, after teaching 8th, 9th, and 11th grades in surrounding school districts. She grew up in the Yakima Valley, studied English at Whitworth University, and then received her Washington State Teaching Certification in 2016. She currently co-leads the Latino Affinity Group for the middle school and helped lead the 7th Grade Washington DC Trip in February 2024. Krystal loves to read and is always looking to see how contemporary texts and films can relate to what students are learning in the classroom.
