Biography: I grew up in Northern California where I spent all my free time playing water polo and reading. My first experience working with students was as a water polo coach when I came home for summer breaks from Virginia, where I was getting my bachelors in English at the Virginia Military Institute. After graduating in 2016, I began teaching 6th-grade in the Bay Area and I've been in the classroom ever since. I'm so excited to be joining the SAAS community and nerding out with my students about history, books, and writing!
