Biography: Katie Nolan joined the Upper School English department at SAAS in 2022. She completed a Ph.D. in English at the University of Chicago in 2020 and holds a BA in English and History from Fordham University in New York City. She worked in the writing center at the University of Chicago for several years before making the switch to K-12 teaching. She had taught middle school and upper school at the University of Chicago Laboratory School and English and Journalism at Annie Wright Schools in Tacoma, WA. She is excited to bring her knowledge of analytical writing to SAAS and share her love of literature with students.
