Biography: Andrés Arteaga (he/him) was born and raised in Pacoima, California. He came to Seattle in 2008 to earn his B.A. in English and French at Seattle University. Although he left Seattle after undergrad to pursue philosophy studies at Saint Louis University, the beauty of the Pacific Northwest brought him back. Upon returning in 2015, Andrés worked at Villa Academy as a Middle School teacher and as the Director of Equity Education and Inclusion for six years; he also worked at Forest Ridge as the Director of Faith & Justice. He holds an MFA in Arts Administration/Leadership, focusing on the intersection of the arts and social justice in education.
