Biography: Andrés Arteaga joined Seattle Academy in 2023 and is the Middle School Community Impact & Inclusion Program Director. Born and raised in Pacoima, California, he moved to Seattle in 2008 to earn a B.A. in English and French from Seattle University. He later left Seattle for four years to become a Jesuit and study philosophy and theology at Saint Louis University before returning to the city in 2015. Before joining Seattle Academy, Andrés spent six years at Villa Academy, where he served as a Middle School teacher and later as Director of Equity Education and Inclusion. He also served as Director of Faith & Justice at Forest Ridge School. Andrés holds an MFA in Arts Administration and Leadership with a focus on arts education.
