Biography:
Xing Yang (they/them) grew up in the local area, graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2018, and worked as a tutor for displaced and undocumented students at Hunan University and City DREAM in California. They are an alum of Mills College's Social Work and Art Studio programs and enjoy creating narrative art by way of comics, zines and animation. In 2023, Xing joined Seattle Academy as a Long-Term Art Substitute and now teaches Middle School Visual & Media Art courses full-time. Xing notes they are a seasonal creature and prefers to spend winters working on art projects indoors. In the summer, Xing loves to bike-pack with friends.
