Biography: Josie grew up near Phoenix, Arizona before moving to Seattle in 1998. After exploring a few career options, she realized her enthusiasm for numbers and earned her Bachelor's in Business Administration, Accounting Option, from the University of Washington, Bothell in 2018. She is a licensed CPA in Washington State and has prior experience with a CPA firm, where she provided financial, tax, and advisory services for a variety of entities, including not-for-profit organizations. She was also an auditor for the Washington State Auditor's Office, where she led audits over compliance and financial reporting for local governments. As Controller, Josie is pleased to be a part of the Seattle Academy community, and to use her experience and skills to support the school's financial accounting and reporting needs. She lives in Bothell with her husband and son, and enjoys hiking, reading, fine arts, and travel.
