Biography: EJ Renner hails from Virginia and considers the Blue Ridge Mountains home. She later called upstate New York home while studying at Cornell University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master’s degree in Systems Engineering. After graduation, she worked as a research engineer at General Electric Research, contributing to technologies ranging from ultrasounds to airplane engines to wind turbines. EJ changed careers and joined Seattle Academy in 2024, where she enjoys exploring the wonders of math and the ethics of engineering with her students. Outside of work, EJ can be found reading, running, or playing (and winning) board games.
