Biography: Jamie grew up in Texas and attended Southern Methodist University, where he earned degrees in Mathematics and Philosophy. After graduating, he taught Geometry, Algebra, and Statistics, and coached wrestling in Dallas—sharing his enthusiasm for both the elegance of mathematical reasoning and the deeper, often unanswerable questions behind it. He firmly believes that clear, careful reasoning—often cultivated through math—is essential to building a better future. Jamie loves ultimate frisbee, rock climbing, rock music, and literature of all kinds. Most recently, he served with AmeriCorps, leading habitat restoration and outdoor education projects throughout the Puget Sound region. He is joining Seattle Academy for the 2025–2026 school year as a member of the Math Department.
