Biography:
Erin Mansur (she/her) began her teaching career in New York City in 2001, working as a substitute teacher across the five boroughs. Over the next 18 years, she taught middle and upper school humanities at Brooklyn Friends School, where she cultivated a passion for storytelling and guiding students in finding their authentic voices. She holds a B.A. and M.A. from Kansas State University, as well as an M.F.A. from Ohio University. Since 2020, Erin has taught at The Branson School and The Vistamar School in California. Erin joined Seattle Academy as an Upper School English Teacher in 2025. She is proudly Deaf and an advocate for underrepresented communities, including LGBTQIA+ youth and people with disabilities. Outside the classroom, Erin is passionate about writing and exploring the intersections of identity and culture through baking.
