Biography: Rebekah is a northwest native, born in Olympia, Washington. She joined Seattle Academy’s Art Department in 2005 as the Photography teacher. She received a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and an MFA in Photo from Lesley University in Boston. After graduating, Rebekah returned to the PNW and became active in the arts community, exhibiting her photographic work and teaching at the Photographic Center NW, Cornish, Seattle University, the University of Georgia’s summer semesters in Italy, and SAAS. Rebekah loves international travel, has a passion for fine art and art history, making things, cooking, and teaching kids at SAAS how to develop their artistic skills and find a visual language to share their stories in their communities and abroad.
