Biography: Mark grew up in Central, Southern and Northern California joined the Seattle Academy faculty in 1987 and has been director of vocal music since that time. He earned a Ph.D in music composition from the University of Washington. During his college career he took time at twice to travel with rock and jazz bands as a keyboard player. Since 2001, Mark has built a vocal jazz program highlighted by the award winning choir, The Onions. He loves to read, play classical piano and explore his new role as Grandpa to his three grandsons.
