Biography: Lisa joined Seattle Academy in 2011 after a stint in the Midwest getting her BA, playing music and working in the legal field. She did her undergraduate work at the University of Chicago, studying political science with a focus on international relations theory and then followed that with a Masters in Secondary Education from Western Washington University. Her career in education has not always been within the walls of a school; she has taught bass, violin, and horsemanship at various points in her career. At SAAS, she was a founding teacher of the innovations program. She has also worked as an instructional coach, supporting her colleagues in their professional growth goals. When not grading papers, she can be found fussing over her rose garden or reading speculative fiction.
