Biography: Willy Felton serves as the Director of Technology at Seattle Academy, a role he has held since 2013. With 18 years of experience teaching math in schools across Seattle and Idaho, Willy currently instructs computational thinking courses like Intro to Excel. Prior to his teaching career, he worked as a professional software developer, leveraging his degrees in Math, Computer Science, and a Masters of Arts in Teaching. Willy's involvement at SAAS extends beyond the classroom; he has mentored the school's robotics teams for 11 years and previously served as Dean of Faculty. He actively engages in the SAAS outdoor program, supports various clubs, and contributes to teaching and learning at all school levels. Outside of academia, Willy enjoys spending quality time with his son and indulging his passion for woodworking in his shop.
