Biography: Achijah is a Seattle Native who enrolled at Seattle Academy as a 9th grader in 2006 and graduated in 2010. During undergrad, Achijah played four years of Division 1 soccer and received her Bachelor's Degree from the College of Education at the University of Oregon. Achijah began her time as a Faculty member at SAAS as a 6th grade Coordinator in the Fall of 2014. In addition to coordinating, Achijah spent her time as an advisor, trip leader, and soccer, basketball, and track coach. In 2017, Achijah transitioned to Lead Middle School Coordinator, then in 2020, made another transition to Middle School Dean of Students. Most recently, as the Middle School Dean of Student Life and 6th grade PE teacher, Achijah remains dedicated to the student experience, avenues for students to connect with their peers and adults outside of class, and positive, fun co-curricular experiences throughout the year. Achijah is passionate about soccer, exercising, cooking, music, and spending time with friends and family.
