Biography:
Aimee joined Seattle Academy in 2014 as a Middle School Study Skills Teacher. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, she studied and worked in Japan for 6 years before returning to Seattle and earning a Master's in Teaching from Seattle University. Prior to joining the Learning Support Department at SAAS, she taught middle school at Hamlin Robinson School when it was still located next door to the Temple and has also taught at Open Window School in Bellevue, Seattle Public Schools, and Nagahama North Elementary School in Japan. Aimee currently advises the Middle School Asian Pacific Islander Affinity Group. She loves reading urban fantasy and YA, playing strategy board games, drawing, and traveling, particularly long-distance walks like the Camino de Santiago.
