Biography: Emily grew up in Seattle and still remembers her visit to Seattle Academy as a middle school applicant. Though she wouldn't join the community until she was hired as a sixth-grade English teacher, Emily has been a loyal cardinal since 2016. A true Pacific Northwest native, Emily attended University Prep, Whitman College, and earned her master's in Education from Seattle Pacific University. Emily has over ten years of teaching experience. She has taught many different populations, including elementary kids in Granada, Spain, Hispanic students in Walla Walla, Washington, and middle schoolers in summer courses at the YMCA. Emily is a prolific reader, a competitive swimmer, and an avid traveler.
