Biography:
Annalise Olson joined Seattle Academy in January 2018 as a Middle School and Upper School Visual Arts & Digital Media teacher. Annalise grew up in Seattle and attended Seattle Academy, graduating in 2009. They graduated in 2013 from Parsons - The New School (transferred from Maryland Institute College of Art, MICA) with a BFA focus in Illustration and a minor focus in Graphic Design. Annalise has worked in multiple creative roles including, an animation studio intern, a children's book production assistant, a fashion illustration agent, an event planner and an event installation artist. A few highlights include: animating comics with Art Spiegelman for his show, "Wordless!, a live presentation mixing comics & live music, and illustrating corner frames in Neil Gaiman and Lorenzo Mattotti's macabre retelling of "Hansel & Gretel. Annalise sings in a zany vocal group called The Beaconettes and enjoys outdoor trips and cooking.
