Biography: Ginnie grew up in Seattle and moved away when she went to USC for college. After graduating, she became a professional track and field runner specializing in the 100 meter hurdles. After traveling to over 24 countries to compete and competing on 4 world championship teams for Team USA, she decided to get her Masters in Education and started teaching 4th grade in Los Angeles. In 2018, she decided to move back home with her family and joined Seattle Academy as a 6th and 7th grade math teacher. Ginnie also leads the Middle School Black Student Union, and has a passion for showing all students that they can be great mathematicians. Given her extensive athletic background, she is excited to share her experience and knowledge with SAAS students as a coach of the Middle School girls' basketball team and Upper School Track & Field team.
