Biography: Ellie is a Seattle native and joined Seattle Academy in 2011 as an Upper School Mathematics Teacher. Graduating from the University of Puget Sound with a BA in Business, Ellie found her way to teaching through Teach for America and later earned her MAEd in Mathematics Education from East Carolina University. Although the beaches of North Carolina are beautiful, as a Seattle native, the Pacific Northwest will always be home. Returning to Seattle and Seattle Academy in 2019, Ellie currently teaches Upper School Mathematics and Innovations courses. Ellie is an avid reader/audiobook listener and enjoys filling her TBR with books recommended by her students.
