Biography: Kim Zabelle (Violin/Viola/Piano) is founding Director of Upper School String Ensemble (2019) and Middle School Strings Club (2023) in the Arts Department. Juggling a multifaceted musical career Kim thrives as performer, master teacher, and studio recording artist. A prominent teacher in the Seattle area, Kim has conducted & taught at Marrowstone-in-the-City, Vivace Chamber Players, Puget Sound Chamber Music Workshop and has coached & conducted the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestras (1992-2020). She has held faculty posts at Seattle Pacific University, Rutgers University (Chamber Music Institute), and was artist-in-residence at Bowling Green University in Ohio. She has been a member of the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra since 1991. When not playing music, she can be found in her garden with her cat & 10 chickens or rowing her Pocock racing shell on Lake Washington.
