Mycole Brown '11 was volunteering at the University District Food Bank where Seattle Academy 8th graders also participated in the Seattle Challenge, in early March. Mycole noticed Craig Tomlinson SAAS soccer coach, PE teacher, and 6th-grade Coordinator, and knew he looked familiar. Although, they both shared it took them a moment to recognize one another.
"My time at SAAS inspired me to enjoy volunteering and actively seek out ways to help those around me."
A few summers ago, Mycole worked at Code Your Future, a summer camp, which kick-started his most recent volunteerism. Mycole found a solution with leftover food that wasn't served, He delivered this food to homeless camps and food banks. Mycole shared that his time at SAAS cultivated a sense of responsibility through our community's core values. Mycole enjoys volunteering and actively seeking out ways to help those around him. Mycole volunteers with Key Tech Labs, University District Food Bank, and Green Seattle Partnership, to name a few.
