Isobel Grad ’07 Profile

 

Isobel Grad ’07 recently published the Simbahöllin Coffee House Cookbook.  Isobel is currently living in Þingeyri, Iceland, one of the oldest settlements in the Westfjords.

Last spring, she collaborated on art installations for Design March, Iceland’s most important annual design festival. The festival includes over one hundred events that transform the most northerly capital in the world into one big venue for design, showcasing the best of local Icelandic design alongside international names.

Isobel also helps run an arts residency program called The Westfjords Residency, which host individual artist retreats, group residencies, and creative volunteering. The goal of the program is to encourage creative people to visit Westfjords, find inspiration in the people and culture, work in nature, and then share that experience with the world.
