This past Saturday, the SAAS Middle School Robotics Team (Stephen Gust ’25, Silas Lockwood ‘24, Jay Moore ‘23, Henry Osler ‘24, and Della Smith ‘23) participated in FIRST WASHINGTON’s Into Orbit 2018 competition held at Shoreline High School. Our team was evaluated on its robot design, core values, research project, and live robot performance. Only four among the seventeen teams involved in the competition were invited to advance to the Western Washington Semi Finals, which will be held in January. Based on the balanced strengths of all four of the judged components, our team earned one of the coveted spots. We will keep you posted on their progress in the competition.

Congratulations to the Middle School Robotics team, their coaches, and their families!
