All three Seattle Academy robotics teams performed strongly at the Interleague Event held on Saturday, January 10, at Everett High School. Teams 2856 and 5619 were selected to move on to the elimination matches after playing qualifying matches. 2856 played on the third place alliance while 5619 was selected to play on the second place alliance. Because of the elimination tournament format, these two teams ended up playing each other in a best of three format. The third place alliance upset the second place alliance and moved on to play the first place alliance. They were outclassed in the finals but still represented themselves strongly.

2856 was a nominee for the Inspire Award (the highest honor given at the competition), while 6157 (an all freshmen team) was the recipient of the Think Award (the second highest honor given at the competition). Because of the awards, 2856 and 6157 are two of the eight teams that qualified for STATE last night!!! The state competition will take place in Kent on Saturday, January 31.

Congratulations to all of our robotics teams on a job well done. Good luck at state.
