Science and Arts Students Collaborate on Project

In a project designed to explore the art of the invisible, last week students in Amanda Amsel's Intermediate Arts class collaborated with students in Hannah Chapin's Anatomy and Physiology class to complete a body painting project. Pairs of students worked together to paint bones, blood vessels, muscles and ligaments on arms and legs.  Students used landmarks of bone and muscle to correctly place the anatomical structures, learning both about the structure of the body and the challenge of artistic representation in the process.
