Seattle Academy Mock Trial Advances to State

This year, Seattle Academy Upper School Mock Trial Gray Team earned third place out of the eight teams competing in the recent YMCA of Greater Seattle's Kitsap County Mock Trial Tournament. In doing so, they have advanced to the state tournament level this March. Competing in a league against forty-eight other area schools the competition was tough, and the team is proud knowing that each person gave their all and made a strong showing this past weekend. Mock Trial Faculty Advisor, Magda Buikema  added, "We would like to give special acknowledgment to Jason Lantz, Kevin Thrombold, and most of all, Geoff Burg (Annabelle Burg '22). These three attorney coaches shared their time and their wisdom with our kids over the past five months, and our students could not have succeeded without them." 

For the 2019-2020 school year, Seattle Academy has two mock trial teams: Red and Gray.

Red
