Summerville '10 Joins San Diego Padres

Seattle Academy alumnus, Peter Summerville '10, was in Seattle this week, in his new staff role as the San Diego Padres Bullpen Catcher. The San Diego Padres played the Mariners on Monday, March 25, and Tuesday, March 26, at T-Mobile Park as the teams prepared for the regular season.

Peter played high school baseball for the Garfield Bulldogs where he was a power-hitting catcher and first baseman. He earned a scholarship to play baseball at Santa Clara University. He worked at the Los Angeles Dodgers organization as a minor league instructor before being hired by San Diego's bullpen staff in December 2018 as their Bullpen Catcher Plus.
