SAAS Hires New Art Curator
Earlier this month, Philippe Hyojung Kim joined the Seattle Academy staff as our new Art Curator. Philippe is a Seattle-area artist and art educator who teaches at Seattle Central College, co-curates the gallery Specialist with Dori Scherer ‘04, and recently had a show at the Hedreen Gallery at Seattle University.
Philippe’s first task at SAAS was to prepare all the buildings for our Open Houses which included hanging student artwork in the Arts Center and the STREAM Building. He also completed projects in the alumni gallery in the Vanderbilt (updating the layout of the graduation photos) and adding fish art done by students in anticipation of the new building inside the Middle School.
