Seattle Academy Wrestling Teams Earn 1A Academic State Champion Title

Both the girls’ and boys’ wrestling teams were recognized last week by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association(WIAA). On February 18, WIAA announced their Academic State Champions for the 2019-20 winter sports season. The Scholastic Awards Program recognizes the team with the highest grade point average among all Washington high schools in their enrollment classification. Seattle Academy won in both the girls’ and boys’ title in the 1A classification.

Below are the rosters for both the girls’ and boys’ team.

Girls: Lilah Amon-Lucas ’23, Nia Brice ’23, Leighton Cahoon ’20, Kaylee Garris ’23, Kya Lee ’23, Farah Melang ’23, Ellie Rhodes ’23

Boys: Henry Ament ’23, Yamac Arkan ’23, Keegan Atchison ’22, Spencer Bryant ’22, DaoMing Chau ’23, Colin Cole ’23, Jack Cunard ’22, Owen Draper ’22, Patrick Gamble ’22, Asa Gilmore ’23, Zach Gilmore ’22,  Ryan Jancke ’21, Trtl Lee ’23, Jaden McCleery Brown ’22, Keb McMillan ’23, Drew Ott ’22, Alec Pare Moser ’23, Alex Perera ’23, Dan Perera ’21, Jonah Rudin ’23, Oliver Smith ’23, Ethan Suh ’22.
