Senior Conner P. '18 Named WIAA Track Athlete of the Week

“Conner is such a hard worker, it’s great to see him succeed,” said SAAS Head Track Coach Erin Aitchison ‘98.  “He was really impressive last year and he came back even more determined this year and it really shows in his performance.”

Congratulations to Seattle Academy senior track athlete Conner Pierce '18 who was named Washington Interscholastic Athletics Association Track Athlete of the Week.

Conner, an ambulatory athlete competing against able bodies, dropped six seconds off his best 400-meter time (63.88), a second off his best 100-meter time (13.82), and three seconds off his best 200-meter time (28.27).  Since being named Athlete of the Week, he has actually topped his personal best in both the 100 meters (13.60) and 200 meters (28.14).

Conner, who was named Emerald City League track Rookie-of-the-Year last season, will attend the University of British Columbia next year where he plans on competing in track. Conner and the rest of the Seattle Academy track team will next be in action this Saturday at the Bellevue Christian Invitational.
