Former SAAS Faculty, Sidney James, Featured in Geekwire
Former Seattle Academy Innovations faculty, entrepreneur, and founder and CEO of Seattle start-up Inyore, Sidney James, was featured in Geekwire in their Startup Spotlight on Nov. 28. Inyore is a platform that allows employees to anonymously share their concerns with employers.
Sidney came to Seattle from Atlanta in the summer of 2018. He joined Seattle Academy to develop and teach our Innovations curriculum to Upper School students. Given his background, he was a great fit for SAAS and the Innovations department – leveraging his entrepreneurship experience with other startups. Sidney’s plan was to stay at SAAS longer, but when angel investors liked what they saw in Inyore and started investing, he knew the timing was right to lean into this opportunity full time.
In reflecting on his teaching experience at SAAS, Sidney was inspired by his students demonstration of the Culture of Performance through their own classroom presentations and pitches, which influenced how he approached angel investors. Sidney recently visited our Entrepreneurship class during the Fall Trimester to share his experiences with our Upper School students.
Congratulations to Sidney! Read the Geekwire article and learn more about Sidney and Inyore here.
