Class of 2023 Moves Up

On Wednesday, June 12, the Class of 2023 held their annual Moving Up Ceremony. The ceremony marks the end of their Middle School years. The event, planned by students themselves, included speeches from faculty, 8^th graders, and Makena Kerns, a member of the Class of 2019 who gave them advice on what to expect in high school. Student performances ranged from a couple of instrumental pieces to a Rahni Singh solo accompanied by Ruby Cook on the ukulele, and the 8^th Grade Vocal Ensemble performing “Lean on Me.” Each 8^th grader then walked across the stage to receive their certificate from Rob Phillips, Head of School, and incoming Board of Trustees Chair, David Sheppard, both of whom have children in this class.
