Sherman ’20 Named 2019 Bank of America Student Leader

Now in it’s fifteenth year, the Bank of America’s Student Leader program connects community-minded high school students with greater opportunities to serve their communities, providing them with workforce experience and an opportunity to buld their leadership skills through a paid internship at a local nonprofit. This year, five area students were selected as Bank of America Student Leaders including Seattle Academy senior Lucas Sherman. He joined three hundred students selected nationwide.

Lucas completed his internship at Tree House, an organization that provides youth in foster care in Washington with academic and other essential support needed for graduation from high school. At SAAS, Lucas has been an active member of our Associated Student Body (ASB), serving as an officer last year and representing his fellow students again this year. He has been instrumental in improving communications between students as well as between students and administration. He has also participated in lacrosse, Speech and Debate, Robotics, and Youth Legislature.

Congratulations to Lucas and his family!
