Upper School Facilitators Prepare for the School Year

This past weekend, August 17 and 18, the Upper School Facilitators went on their annual retreat. This year the retreat took place at Camp David, Jr., located on Crescent Lake on the Olympic Peninsula.

Student Facilitators are student leaders who embody the core values at Seattle Academy and lead their community throughout the year. They assist with the 9th grade transition to Upper School as a mentor to freshman advisories, and they help in several different roles during the admissions process to represent the student body. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors go through a selection process in the spring and are expected to attend the August retreat in preparation for the school year. They are mentored by faculty members Freddy Carley, Jess Claesson, and Ashley Rohrbach.
