Learning Support at SAAS is designed to empower students with the tools, strategies, and self-awareness they need to thrive in a vigorous, dynamic academic environment. We are committed to creating a learning culture that fosters student agency, values neurodiversity, and ensures every learner can access the robust offerings that SAAS offers.
Learning support at SAAS is an integrated, collaborative part of our educational model. Our Learning Specialists, Accommodation managers, and Study Skill teachers partner with classroom teachers across departments to proactively design curriculum that meets a wide range of developmental needs. Whether through embedded support, targeted classes, or 1:1 coaching, students are encouraged to understand themselves as learners and to build the confidence and skills that will serve them long after graduation.
Key Supports & Services
At SAAS, we help students discover how they learn best. That journey of reflection, strategy, and self-advocacy is part of what prepares them for a life of purpose and possibility.
ACCommodations Office
We work closely with students, families, and faculty to implement academic and testing accommodations that reflect each student’s learning profile so students can access curriculum in the ways they need most.
STudy Skills Classes
Students can register for Study Skills classes if they benefit from high frequency, individualized support in executive function skills and/or tools and strategies to support their learning profile.
Tutoring Support
Tutoring support is available through our Peer Tutoring Program and Math Tutoring Program, with additional referrals for trusted community-based tutors. Students are also encouraged to meet directly with their teachers during designated community time for extra help and connection.
Digital Resources
A range of accessible technologies and online resources (including a robust digital library) help students manage their workload, organize their thinking, and engage fully with class content.
