Meet the Ethics Faculty

Biography: Gerald Elliott is the Robotics Program Director at Seattle Academy and teaches engineering. Over more than a dozen years, he has grown the robotics program and coached teams to six different world championships across three leagues. A Seattle native, Gerald attended the University of Washington, where he earned a double major in History and History and Philosophy of Science before completing a Master’s in Teaching. While studying at UW, he worked as a scientific instrument maker in the Oceanography Department from 2003 to 2013, before joining SAAS in 2013. Gerald loves creating things and spends his free time in his garden and machine shop, sharing his passion and skills with his daughter, Rosie.

Biography: Mike joined the team at Seattle Academy in 2020 as an Associate Director of College Advising. He is originally from Oak Park, IL and earned his BA in English Literature and Creative Writing from Colgate University and his MBA from Loyola Marymount University. He brings eight years of experience in college admissions to SAAS from his time at Loyola Marymount University and Pomona College. In addition to helping students through the college process at SAAS, you might also interact with Mike in athletics, where he coaches track and field. When not at SAAS you can find Mike deep in a book, playing video games, and painting beautiful masterpieces.
