COVID-19: Financial Aid Information

We realize that many families are suddenly facing unexpected financial challenges directly related to the COVID-19 health crisis. We are assessing the long-term financial ramifications of this virus and developing a plan to support our families during this time. We are committed to your family and our school community.

Tuition

Seattle Academy values an inclusive, economically diverse community and is committed to making the SAAS education accessible to as many families as possible. Over 21% of our families receive financial aid for tuition each year. Financial assistance is available for tuition costs as well as transportation, lunch, trips, and additional school-related costs as all of those are part of the SAAS student experience.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is awarded on need-based versus achievement-based criteria using the following guidelines:

  • All families requesting financial aid must submit documentation of financial need through the completion of the application process. 
  • We evaluate the information provided by SSS on a family’s ability to pay and rely heavily on the input provided directly from the family when making grant decisions.
  • We prioritize returning families who are currently receiving financial aid. All families must contribute some portion of tuition and educational expenses.

The financial aid application is separate from the admission application and can be found through the School and Student Services (SSS) website.
