Tuition for 2026-2027
At SAAS, we believe every student should have access and opportunity to embrace the full life of the school. We’re committed to opening doors for students that spark curiosity, build confidence, and inspire growth.
Tuition for grades 6–12 is $52,940, as set annually by the Seattle Academy Board of Trustees.
Financial Assistance at SAAS
In the 2026–2027 school year, over 25% of SAAS students receive need-based financial assistance. Grants cover up to the full cost of tuition, with the average award covering 70%. Qualifying families receive additional aid to cover other costs associated with attending SAAS and participation in the life of the school.
Our financial aid program goes beyond tuition. Eligible students may receive support for:
- Transportation
- Lunch
- Upper School laptop program
- Outdoor & Travel programs
- Study Skills Classes through Learning Support.
- Social Experiences
We understand every family’s situation is different and encourage all who may need support to apply.
How to Apply for Financial Assistance
- Application Opens: September 1, 2026
- Prospective Families Deadline: January 14, 2027
- Current Families & Early Sibling Applicants Deadline: October 30, 2026
SAAS uses Clarity for financial aid applications and collecting tax documents. The application takes about 30 minutes to complete and is mobile-friendly. Assessment is confidential and holistic, taking into account family size, income, and the number of children enrolled in tuition-based schools or colleges.
To Apply:
- Complete the application at Clarity.
- Authorize the IRS to share tax data from within the Clarity system.
- Qualifying families may have the $65 fee automatically waived based on Clarity’s income guidelines or may request a fee waiver if needed by contacting financialaid@seattleacademy.org.

If you are a returning or current SAAS family not currently receiving financial assistance but are seeking support for the current or following year:
- Apply through Clarity by October 30, 2026
- Demonstrate a significant involuntary financial change within the last 6 months (e.g., job loss, medical expenses, reduced work hours)
