Tuition
Seattle Academy values an inclusive, economically diverse community and is committed to making the SAAS education accessible to as many families as possible. Over 23% of our families receive need-based financial aid for tuition each year, and the average grant is 68% of total tuition. SAAS is made affordable by offering grants that do not require repayment for tuition, transportation, the Upper School laptop program, lunch, outdoor & travel/trips, and Study Skills Classes through our Learning Support Program. We want every student to experience the full life of the school. $9,368,794 was awarded in tuition financial aid grants for the 2024-2025 school year.
Tuition is set each year by the Board of Trustees at Seattle Academy.
Tuition and fees for the 2024-2025 school year is $48,480 for grades 6-12. Financial Aid grants can range from $5000 to covering the full tuition. The average grant is 68% of tuition.
Financial Aid
Financial aid is awarded on need-based versus achievement-based criteria using the following guidelines:
- All families requesting financial aid must submit documentation of financial need through the completion of the financial aid application process.
- We evaluate the information provided by School and Student Services (SSS) on a family’s ability to pay and rely heavily on the input provided directly from the family when making grant decisions.
- Grants depend on several factors, such as household size and how many children in a family attend tuition-based schools and colleges.

APPLICATION WAIVERS
Please note: (SSS) has established new fee waiver guidelines according to family income and will not charge a fee for qualified filers. Families who do not automatically qualify for a waiver and would like assistance to cover the fee may request a waiver from SAAS. To request a need-based waiver for any required component of our application process, please email admissions@seattleacademy.org.
