A LETTER FROM THE CO-HEADS

Dear Prospective Families,

We’re thrilled that you’re considering Seattle Academy as the next step in your student’s educational journey. We know that choosing a school is both an exciting and deeply personal decision, and we can’t wait to share a glimpse of the vibrant and dynamic community that makes SAAS so special.

At SAAS, our commitment to action and innovation defines who we are and how we prepare students for the future. Since our founding, we have thrived by embracing an entrepreneurial mindset - one that encourages curiosity, creativity, adaptability, collaboration, and a willingness to learn from every experience. We empower our kids to grow as confident leaders and nimble problem-solvers in an ever-changing world. Why? Because the 8th graders who are applying this Fall will graduate from SAAS in 2030. The 5th graders who are applying will be the graduating class of 2033. The true mission of SAAS is to prepare them to be innovators, leaders, and community builders long after their last day of classes. This philosophy lives at the heart of our mission: to question, imagine, and create in order to contribute boldly to a changing world. In our classrooms and hallways, you’ll see students leaning into inquiry, exploring complex ideas, and testing their own capacity to make an impact. SAAS students are continually practicing the art of brave contribution. We know that the best way to understand SAAS is to experience it in person. We hope to meet you at one of our Open Houses, talk with you during a Leadership Coffee for Parents and Guardians, and hear your story at one of the many events we host throughout the year to welcome families into the life of our school. These moments capture the energy, creativity, and warmth of our students, faculty, and staff and the spirit of community that defines SAAS. We look forward to welcoming you to our campus and sharing the entrepreneurial spirit and mission-driven energy that equip SAAS students to navigate the world around them with confidence and agility.
