Visual & Media Arts
The Visual and Media Arts—Film, Photography, and Visual Arts—are a dynamic part of the curriculum! Middle School students have visual arts classes each year, including drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, 3-D, and fiber arts. They also have film, photography, and music options available in the “Media Makers” class. All Upper School students take a Beginning Visual Arts class, a prerequisite for most other classes, and then can select from more than a dozen other visual arts course offerings!
Students who wish to make a more focused commitment to their skill development can continue with Intermediate Visual Arts. The Advanced levels of Film, Photography, and Visual Arts require a portfolio review by the instructors for admission, as does the junior-level Portfolio Development class.
