The Cardinal Club Program, an in-house (intramural) development program for SAAS athletes, was created to facilitate participation and foster excellence. Developed by the Athletic department, in collaboration with other leaders and programs, the Cardinal Club ensures that all of our students are having the best experience possible.
“Participation and Excellence” looks different for each student and the Cardinal Club Program (CCP) allows students to enhance innate talents, develop competence, and/or discover talents they never knew they had. The program also offers a meaningful opportunity to make connections with their peers on and off the field. The program runs in congruence with existing Middle School teams and Upper School Varsity, JV and JVC teams.
The CCP runs 3-5 days a week (this includes weekend days), for roughly 8-11 weeks. The CCP competes through an in-house program model (intramurals, round robins, ladders, etc.) without competitive cross-school games.
While the Cardinal Club is in many ways a new program and new approach, in other respects it’s a continuation of what we’ve always done in SAAS Athletics, as well in other areas of the school. We believe that our commitment to both participation and excellence provides a richness of opportunities for exploration, growth, connection and achievement. Go Cardinals!
