Campus Construction Updates
Home of the Upper School Building Project
For forty years, Seattle Academy has adapted to growth and sustained a mission that sets us apart from other independent schools. SAAS is a dynamic community that challenges students to question, imagine, and create in order to contribute boldly to a changing world. SAAS students’ potential has outgrown our current spaces, and thanks to past school leaders and donors, Seattle Academy owns the entire block on 12th Avenue between Spring and Union.
The largest portion of the block has yet to be developed and is the footprint for a 5-story, 100,000 square foot building: a home for the Upper School programs and the final puzzle piece on the SAAS block. The future home of the Upper School will include thirty-eight new learning spaces and will total 100,000 square feet of interior space and 11,000 square feet of outdoor courtyard space.
