PURCHASING LUNCH ON CAMPUS
We do not accept cash or checks through our lunch service. Families who wish to purchase lunch through Sage Dining should create a MyKidsSpending account and add funds to that account as needed.

REQUIRED SUMMER READING
Over the summer, Seattle Academy students read specific course-assigned books. Teachers will integrate summer reading into the course work during the first weeks of class and likely throughout the term. For each grade-level, teachers have provided a link to a reading guide to accompany the reading assignment, which will provide any needed instructions. As students will use these texts at the beginning of the year, they should purchase a new or used copy to bring with them for the first days of classes.
For general questions, please contact Jason Gough, Chair of the English Department.
PARENT/GUARDIANS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
There are a variety of ways parents can get involved at Seattle Academy. Volunteering is a great way to get to know other SAAS community members. There are volunteer opportunities for every interest and schedule. Click on the form below to learn more about volunteer opportunities. After submitting the form, you will be contacted by a member of the Family Association with more information.
We hope you'll consider participating. The entire survey takes no more than 3-5 minutes to complete.
If you have any questions, please contact Anne-Marie Guerrero.

- Do you need to update your contact information such as address, cell phone or email?
- Do you need to add or change an emergency contact for your child?
- Do you want your student’s grandparents to be in the know of what’s happening around SAAS? Do you want them to receive the school magazine, periodic student and alumni news articles, invitations to events, and more?
- We're excited to host our on-campus Grandparent Breakfast on Thursday, November 19, 2026! Invitations with registration details will be sent directly to grandparents, so adding their contact information to Veracross ensures they'll receive an invitation to this event.

Upper School Musical Details
The Upper School Fall Musical Production this year is “Shrek the Musical.”
Shrek the Musical has music by Jeanine Tesori and book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire. It is based on the 2001 DreamWorks Animation film Shrek, along with elements of its sequels: Shrek 2, Shrek Forever After, and William Steig's 1990 book Shrek!
All performance and crew positions are open to any 9th-12th grade student. Specific information about auditions will appear later in the summer, and auditions will be held on the first few days of Fall classes.
The production will rehearse every day after school and culminate in four performances: November 4-7 in the Arts Center Theater.
If you have questions about the Upper School Musical, please contact Michael Cimino.
Visual Arts
The Visual and Media Arts are a dynamic part of the curriculum! In the Middle School, students have a visual arts class each year. In 6th and 7th grades, the emphasis is on drawing, painting, and 2D media, and the 8th grade visual arts class has a focus on Digital Arts. In the Upper School, all 9th-grade students take a Beginning Studio Arts class, a prerequisite for most other classes, and they can then select from almost 20 other visual arts elective offerings each trimester!
Student work is always on display throughout the campus, and there are special displays near the end of each trimester to showcase work from the classes. Other special events include the Spring show of our senior students in Advanced and Intermediate classes (visual and photography) and Film Night, which screens student films, Beginning through Advanced levels. All are welcome to these afternoon / early-evening events!
If you have questions about Visual & Media Arts, please contact Annalise Olson.
