Parent/Guardian volunteers play an important role in supporting Admissions activities. Volunteers are needed to help greet prospective families at Open Houses, assist as greeters and tour guides during Visit Days, and support welcome events for families considering their invitation to join the SAAS community.

Description: Open Houses are currently scheduled for Saturday, October 25, 2025 and Saturday, November 15, 2025. Multiple shifts are available to help greet prospective families and share your SAAS pride.

Description: We hold tours for prospective parents/guardians from November through February. Parent volunteers play an important role as tour guides. Tour guides will participate in a training with the Admissions staff.

Description: In April 2026, parent volunteers help support New Family Orientation events for the 2026-27 school year.

Description: Class Representatives help build our SAAS community by serving as liaisons between the grade-level parents, the Family Association, and the school. They model the school's Mission, Values, and Guiding Principles. As Family Association ambassadors, they help to build a strong sense of community by welcoming new families and promoting parent/guardian engagement in grade-level, division and school-wide events and activities. They act as a general knowledge resource for grade-level questions and recruit volunteers to lead various grade-level community building activities (coffees, parent socials, potlucks, etc.). Duties vary in scope and time commitment and can easily accommodate parents/guardians who work full time, part time, or from the home. Let us know if you are interested!

Description: Potlucks are a great way to get to know other families. Volunteers are needed to help plan and host grade-level potlucks.

Faculty Appreciation Committee members contribute ideas, time, and resources to help foster a culture of gratitude by coordinating meaningful and inclusive ways to recognize and celebrate our staff and faculty throughout the year. From monthly Friday treats to the annual Faculty/Staff Appreciation Week, they help create consistent moments of joy and acknowledgment that reflect the community’s deep appreciation for the work of educators.

Description: Family Affinity Nights are evenings dedicated to celebrating our diverse SAAS community. The events, planned by student affinity group leaders in collaboration with the Director of Equity and Inclusion, are open to all SAAS families, students, faculty and staff. Volunteers are needed to assist with decorating, facilitating food and beverages, welcoming/checking-in families, and event clean up at the end of the evening. 

Description: Parent Education Committee members work with school leadership to identify relevant topics and speakers that support parent learning and community connection. They collaboratively organize and promote events that reflect the interests and needs of the parent body. Members also serve as ambassadors, encouraging participation and gathering feedback to inform future programming.

Description: Logowear sales volunteers help promote school spirit by organizing and staffing merchandise sales throughout the year. They assist with inventory, set-up, and customer service to ensure a smooth and welcoming shopping experience for families and students. Logowear sales events this year will include the SAAS Family Summer Social (August 27, 2025); full community SAAS Pride athletic events - Fallapoooza (September 19, 2025), Winter Hoopla (December 12 and 19, 2025), and Springapalooza; and Middle and Upper School New Family Orientations.
