Clubs at SAAS

Clubs are a vibrant part of student life at Seattle Academy—created and led by students with support from a faculty advisor. For many, this is where new friendships form, passions are shared, and interests are discovered.

SAAS students have opportunities to participate in clubs during our daily, Community Time period. Some clubs are student-generated, while others are formed by faculty or staff. There are several standing clubs that convene year after year under the guidance of a faculty member, including Model UN and Ethics Bowl. Other clubs, like Dungeons and Dragons, Pre-Med Club, or the Cereal Club, are created through student interest.

Students are able to present their club idea, arrange for a faculty/staff advisor, and promote their club at weekly announcements. Student-driven clubs have varied life spans and new clubs are created all year long. Whether informal and internal-facing or connected to external partnerships and community initiatives, clubs offer something for everyone. And if students don’t see what they’re looking for, they’re encouraged to propose a new club because, at SAAS, trying something new is part of how we grow.
