Annual Giving

How will you make an impact on our students and community?

Seattle Academy families, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends give generously each year to help us prepare students to contribute boldly to a changing world. Seattle Academy’s Annual Giving Family of Funds is our primary fundraising campaign for program support. Donors are invited to direct their gifts to a fund of their choice: Area of Greatest Need; Curricular Enhancements; the Arts; and Athletics. These four areas represent vital elements of a SAAS education all of which will be enhanced by your generous support.

Annual gifts of all sizes enhance the education and experience of SAAS students every day. Gifts are applied in the current academic year through the school’s operating budget. Should gifts exceed budgeted need in any given area, funds will be redirected to the area of greatest need. Every gift received makes a difference and is much appreciated.

Greatest Need

Unrestricted gifts provide flexibility for SAAS to meet the immediate needs of students and faculty and give SAAS the ability to say YES when unexpected opportunities arise. Technology, faculty professional development, student-initiated activities, and financial aid for outdoor and travel trips are all supported by these funds. Unrestricted funds leave the door open to possibility!

Supporting our students in visual and performing arts provides additional resources and materials for drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, photography, film, and more. It also enables our no-cut arts policy, which ensures students the opportunity to participate in theatre, dance, vocal, and instrumental music.

Curricular Enhancements

An exemplary curriculum rooted in excellence and innovation lies at the heart of a SAAS education. Gifts to Curricular Enhancements provide tools and resources to keep course offerings at the cutting edge. Funds will support our Culture of Performance that inspires students to think outside the box, embrace challenges, collaborate, and problem solve.

With a no-cut athletics policy, over 80% of SAAS students participate in team sports from novice to varsity level. Gifts designated to Athletics help fund essentials such as equipment, uniforms, coaching, transportation, and field access. Participation in Athletics promotes teamwork, leadership skills, and sportsmanship.
